Your voice, your choice
The Era 100 is designed for listening and enjoying music, not philosophizing about privacy. So the speaker offers several options to protect your privacy. “One-touch privacy” allows you to turn off voice assistants by tapping the speech bubble on the speaker. The deactivation is confirmed by the light turning off. You still have access to other microphone-related features, such as Trueplay. The speaker also has a “security switch” function, which allows you to make sure that no one accidentally turns on your voice assistant. There is a mechanical switch on the back of the speaker that you can use to turn off the speaker in such a way that all power is removed from the microphone itself, so even hackers cannot turn it on remotely.
