The FreshAir activated carbon filter absorbs all odors in the incoming air. As a result, no odors can escape from the surrounding air into the wine cabinet, which could spoil the taste of the wine. Each Vinidor freestanding or built-in wine cabinet is equipped with its own FreshAir activated charcoal filter. The UWT and WT series wine cabinets have a built-in FreshAir activated carbon filter that filters both parts of the cabinet. The filter can be ordered as an accessory and is easy to replace (we recommend doing it once a year).
Appropriate moisture content.
The correct moisture content is very important for long-term storage of wine. At 50% humidity, even the highest quality natural cork starts to shrink, allowing more and more air to enter the bottle and the alcohol to evaporate. The amount of liquid in the bottle decreases and the risk of oxidation increases. In such conditions, the wines gradually become sweeter until they spoil completely. Liebherr wine cabinets ensure over 50% humidity, creating the best conditions for corks and wine. Large evaporators are used in the cabinets and the air in them is kept in circulation according to a special system. Vinothek's multi-temperature wine cabinets have different temperature zones and use porous volcanic rock to lock in moisture and act as an effective humidity regulator
